One of the first things a new patient will notice in our office is a computer screen on the left hand side of the front counter. This is a touch screen that allows the patient to check into the office with an individual code. Once they enter their information into the system they are then able to input all of their symptoms. This usually takes just a few moments. Once the information is entered into the system it is now accessible to the doctor in my office and in the treatment room. Before the patient sits down to peruse a magazine I know what they are here for and any progress that has been made since their last visit.
The speed of this process allows for shorter waiting periods, which means the patient gets in and gets out as quickly as possible.
Another benefit to the patient is when any information is requested. If the patient wants a copy of all office visits, charges, insurance forms etc. It's as simple as printing off the material. There are no files to go find or copies to be made. This makes working with other physicians, quick and simple.
Paperless systems save money for the office which allows us to pass those savings to the patient. Many offices have to hire employees to simply handle their filing or to copy patient notes. At Body Balance Chiropractic our system allows us to complete patient notes quickly and easily.
